H.E DOROTHY SAMALIE HYUHA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO THE GOVERNOR GENERAL OF AUSTRALIA

Her Excellency Dorothy Samalie Hyuha presented credentials to the Administrator of New Zealand Her Excellency Dame Helen Winkelmann, GMNZ.

The ceremony took place at the Government House in Wellington, New Zealand.

Ambassador Dorothy Samalie Hyuha conveyed a message of goodwill from H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda and commended the excellent bilateral cooperation between the two countries as evidenced by the increase in the volume of trade, investment & tourists from New Zealand. She reiterated her commitment to further enhance ties between the two countries.

Amb. Dorothy Hyuha was accompanied by Mrs. Kente Patricia Nigomani, Administrative Attaché, Mr. Paul Kintu, Chairman Uganda Association in New Zealand, Carol Namuyiga, Personal Assistant & Hyuha and Eng Joel Mbujje, Uganda Businessman.

Amb. Dorothy Hyuha was appointed by President Yoweri Museveni on December 21, 2021. She replaces H.E Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda who was appointed High Commissioner to India.

The new High Commissioner, who is a member of the Central Executive committee of the National Resistance Movement, brings a wealth of experience in the diplomatic, political, and education spheres. She previously served as High Commissioner of Uganda in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. She also served as Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the President, Ag. Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement and Member of Parliament for Tororo and later Butaleja Districts.

Ms. Dorothy Hyuha is an accomplished educator and has a passion for the empowerment of the girl child through education.
